VOLUNTEER
Volunteering with local organizations is a great way to make a strong personal impact. Environmental justice communities across the country have a myriad of opportunities to get involved. With the current pandemic, virtual opportunities are available as well.
VOTE
Exercising your right to vote is one of the most important things you can do to have a say on legislation that matters to you. The 2020 elections will be crucial for environmental justice communities and the greater consequences of climate change to our country and the world at large.
We must combat environmental racism and support bills like the Environmental Justice for All Act, which is backed by the Natural Resources Committee Democrats Chair Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ) and Rep. A. Donald McEachin (D-VA). Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and US Democratic VP candidate Kamala Harris also support this bill.
